Lang Bay Community Club Rental Agreement

This agreement is made between the Lang Bay Community Club and the Undersigned as Renter to rent the Lang Bay Hall in accordance with the following terms and conditions!

This agreement covers the use of the premises at the time of occupancy, only on the date or dates specified.

Rental shall be as specified below.

  1. Damage deposit in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) will be required in cash or e-transfer to langbaycommunityclub.treasurer@gmail.com prior to rental along with rental fee.
  2. The premises shall be used only for the purpose from which this rental is granted. The premises must be vacated and locked by 1 AM. Maximum capacity is 72 persons.
  3. During all rentals, FIRE EXIT DORRS and alleyway MUST be kept free from obstruction for clear access. LIGHTS over EXIT door shall remain on during rental.
  4. DO NOT DRAG any heavy objects, including large tables, chairs, etc. on floors. DO NOT REMOVE any Hall Assets from the Property.
  5. Any damage which may occur to floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures or furniture shall be made good by the renter who will hold themselves responsible for the conduct of all persons using the premises during the occupancy of this rental.
  6. If required, the renter must obtain the appropriate licence for the event for which this rental is granted. If alcohol is to be served a special events licence and liquor licence must be obtained. Proof of licenses will be required upon request.
  7. All children must be supervised by adults at all times while attending the function.
  8. At the end of each rental all dishes belonging to the hall must be cleaned and returned to their proper place in the hall and all remaining food and dishes not belonging to the hall AS WELL AS GARBAGE MUST BE REMOVED before noon the following day.
  9. The entire premises leased under this agreement shall be left thoroughly clean after each rental and all decorations etc. shall be removed before noon of the following day. The renter agrees that should they fail to remove garbage and/or decorations by noon of the following day the Hall Manager will have the right to have the same removed at the expense of the Renter which will be deducted from the damage deposit.
  10. NAILS, PINS, OR OTHER OBJECTS must NOT be driven into walls, ceilings, floors or any other part of the premises. Green masking tape or paint friendly tape is allowed and works well. No confetti, sparkles, or rice is to be used. NO LIT CANDLES PERMITTED IN THE HALL. Floors are to be damp mopped.
  11. ALL COFFEE URNS TO BE COMPLETELY DRIED INSIDE, OTHER APPLIANCES, LIGHTS, FURNANCE, must be turned off before leaving the premises.
  12. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ANYWHERE INSIDE THE HALL!

Cancellation Policy: 14 days prior to the function; failure to provide notice may result in the loss of the deposit.

These RULES AND REGULATIONS are made for the better maintenance of the Lang Bay Community Hall. We urge the utmost co-operation of the Renter to abide by these RULES AND REGULATIONS and leave the Hall in good condition for the Community and Future Renters.
